Riley, Luke and Tiffany's dog, was hit by a car last night. He is making it, but it's going to be a long road to recovery. They've had some construction going on at their house, and the workers have been going in and out of the back door, and needless to say, he got out. Even though they have a really big yard, they live on a pretty busy street. The person who hit him stopped and came to let them know, thank goodness. They took him to the emergency vet last night and he was given pain meds. They took him to their vet this morning and he is being closely watched. If he can pee and poop on his own, they are going to schedule a surgery in Russellville for Wednesday. After the surgery, he'll be on bed-rest for awhile.
Riley is such a good dog, and I know Luke and Tiff just hate this. I'm so happy Riley had a good summer with you all home a lot and that he got to come visit me last week in Little Rock. Keep Riley dog and his mama and daddy in your thoughts, please!
