No lake time for us this weekend. We had a wedding to go to in Fort Smith on Saturday. We normally drive into town on Friday night, but it can be exhausting living out of a suitcase all summer (not that we're complaining!), so we decided to get up early in the am Saturday and drive down so we could relax on Friday night.
Friday night, we met our friends Matt and Jessica at Denton's Trotline, and their friends Justin and Jessica. Good times! Here's our Jessica sandwich. Notice Matt, who's real mature by the way, making his mark on that photo.
My childhood friend Amanda Morse and now husband, Michael got married Saturday. It was a "unique" ceremony. Her pastor, who's known her since she was itty-bitty, called her Amber not once, not twice, but three times!! He's getting a little old and a little more forgetful to say the least. Amanda was a really good sport about it and completely laughed it off.
Here's our table at the reception.
Amber, Christie, Mary, Me, and Dustin
I hadn't seen Amber in quite awhile and it was great to catch up!
That night we got invited by Christie and Jeremy to a private party Jeremy's band, Wingnut, was playing at. It was our first time to watch Jeremy's band and it was so much fun! They played at a really nice place in Greenwood called Chateau on the Greens and rocked it! Free food, free beer, good music, good company, great times!

Thanks for the invite! We had a great time!
Sunday morning, Dustin is usually ready to hit the road so he can get home and mow or whatnot, but we had hardly seen Corky and Debbie with the wedding and party, so we decided to stay later than usual. They have a new above ground pool that we got to break-in, and Debbie cooked her homemade lasagna for us. I love me some lasagna! She even made an extra batch for us to bring home and put in the oven ourselves. We had that for dinner last night! Mmmm, Mmmm, Good!
Another weekend, another memory!
We really have a pretty darn good life, if I do say so myself, and lots to be thankful for. I'm trying to better at that....being thankful. I've found myself constantly obsessing with my wants and comparing myself to others lately, and it is just no good. We are blessed with great family, great friends, a great house, and two wonderful, furry children. Life is good!
Hope you all had a great weekend and remember to thankful for your blessings as well!
