4th and 2

4th of July and our 2 Year Anniversary! Dustin took a couple of days off work and we headed to Tenkiller and Fayetteville for a 5 day weekend!

We had a great weekend at Tenkiller on the 4th of July! The rain tried to put a damper on our parade, but we just wouldn't let it. After sprinkling and scattered storms early Saturday afternoon, the sun finally peaked itself out for the most beautiful part of the day. We were out for almost 8 hours. Addi is talking up a storm and she is quite the dare devil. She jumps off the boat, isn't afraid to go under, and loves the water.

2 years ago we were on a Catamaran in Barbados swimming with the sea turtles!!

When we left from the lake, Dustin and I headed to NW Arkansas for a couple of days for our anniversary. We wanted to catch up on all of the changes taking place up there, go find our names on the senior walk, and head to Eureka one day. First, we ate lunch with our friends Hayley and Andy. We got to see their wedding proofs and catch up on their honeymoon adventures (sorry, no picture). Later, we stopped at Turpentine Creek, the big cat refuge outside of Eureka. There are so many neglected big cats that have luckily found their way to Turpentine, where they can live out their days without human abuse, even if it means they have to be in a cage. 

This monstrous African Lion was devouring his dinner. Yes, we got to see feeding time!

This is Tiger, a 1 year old Bobcat. He was so playful!

This was the one Bengal tiger at the refuge. Doesn't he look comfy? The guide said he is nicknamed "man eater" because Bengals are known for being pretty aggressive toward humans.

This was Delilah...she purred.

Next we headed to campus so we could find out names on the senior walk. I also wanted to get some black and white shots of Old Main for our Razorback themed office. I bought a few different black and white printed sheets of scrapbook paper to mount these pictures with in black frames for the office.

I found my name! Dustin was embarrassed of my excitement.

I feel sorry for Jose Colon. What a name...
